Dress:
Begin at neck edge and ch 60.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each of next 6 chs (back), 3 dc in next ch, dc in ea of next 11 chs (sleeve), 3 dc in next ch, dc in each of next 16 chs (front), 3 dc in next ch, dc in ea of next 11 chs (sleeve), 3 dc in next ch, dc in ea of next 8 chs (back). Ch 3, turn.

Row 4: Skip first dc, dc in ea of next 10 dc, 3 dc in next dc (dc in next dc, dc in next dc, v stitch over v stitch, *sk 4 dc, 7 dc in next st (center of 7 dc group), skip 4 dc, v stitch over v stitch, rep from * once, dc in ea of next 2 dc--(sleeve ruffle), 3 dc in next dc, dc in ea of next 22 dc, 3 dc in next dc; repeat sleeve ruffle again, 3 dc in next dc, dc in ea of next 10 dc, dc in top of ch 3. Ch 3, turn.
Row 5: (Body) Skip first dc, dc in ea of next 11 dc, 3 dc in next dc, skip sleeve ruffle, 3 dc in center dc of next 3 dc group, dc in ea of next 24 dc, 3 dc in next dc, skip sleeve ruffle, 3 dc in center dc of next 3 dc group, dc in ea of next 11 dc, dc in top of ch 3. Join to top of beginning ch 3 into circle for waist. Ch 4, turn.
Row 6: Dc into next dc, skip 1 dc, *5 dc into next dc, skip 1 dc, v stitch into next dc, skip 1 dc, repeat from * around; end skip 1 dc, 5 dc into next dc, skip 1 dc, join to top of beginning ch 3. From here on, work in rounds and DO NOT TURN.
Row 7: Sl stitch into ch 1 space of v stitch, ch 4, dc in same space, *5 dc into center of 5 dc group, v stitch over v stitch, repeat from * to end of round ending 5 dc into center of 5 dc group. Join to top of ch 3 at beginning of round.

Repeat row 7 for 10 more rounds. End off. Weave in ends.

Neck edging: With right side facing, slip stitch into left back edge in base of 1st dc on foundation row. Ch 4, dc into same stitch, *sk 3 chs, work 5 dc into next ch, sk 3 chs, v stitch into next ch. Repeat from * around neck ending sk 3 chs, 1 dc into last ch. End off. Weave in ends.

Sew on buttons to end of first and 3rd row of bodice. Weave ribbon thru row 5 and tie in tow at center front of dress.

Booties

Begin at sole and ch 13.
Round 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in ea of next 8 chs. Work 5 dc in last ch. Working down opposite side of ch, work 1 dc in ea of next 8 chs. Work 1 dc in last ch. Join to top of ch 3 with slip stitch. DO NOT TURN (25 dc).
Round 2: Ch 3, work 1 more dc in joining stitch; dc in ea of next 10 dc; work (2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc) twice; dc in ea of next 9 dc; work 2 dc in last dc. Join as before (29 dc).
Round 3: Ch 3, dc in ea of next 9 dc; (dc dec in ea of next 2 sts) 5 times; dc in ea of last 9 dc. Join (24 dc).
Round 4: Ch 3, dc in ea of next 7 dc; (dc dec in ea of next 2 sts) 5 times; dc in ea of last 6 dc. Join (19 dc).
Round 5: Ch 2, hdc in next dc and in ea dc around. Join (19 hdc).
Round 6: Ch 1, sc in same stitch; *skip 1 st, 5 dc in next st, skip 1 st, sc in next st; rep from * around. End skip 1 st, 5 dc in last st. Join.

End off. Weave in ends. Weave ribbon thru round 5.

Christening Gown for 19 inch Doll

NOTES:
Fits 19 in. doll w/ composition body & following dimensions:
11.5 in chest, measured under arms
15 in chest, measured over arms
14 in from base of neck to bottom of feet
12.5 in. circumference porcelain head

MATERIALS:
Size 10 crochet cotton thread
*Size 4 steel hook
2 rubberbands to fit around doll's wrist without stretching

*If you customarily crochet to gauge in patterns, then the author recommends that you use a steel hook 3 in this pattern, rather than a 4. The author crochets loosely.

DIRECTIONS:
Chain 50
1. SC in 2nd st from hook. Sc. in each ch across.

Small Doll Dress

Materials:
Sport wt. yarn: One skein main color (MC), One skein contrasting color (CC)
Size f crochet hook
Small amount of gold and silver metallic thread

Directions:
Row 1: With MC ch 35, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across ch, ch 1 turn. (34 sc)
Rows 2-6: Working in back loops, sc in each sc, ch 1, turn. (at end of row 6, ch 3)
Row 7: Working in back loops for this round only, Dc in same st, 2 dc in each sc across, join with a sl st in ch 3.
Row 8: Ch 4, dc in next dc, (skip 1 dc, dc ch 1, dc in next dc) repeat between () around, join.
Row 9: Sl st into ch 1 sp, ch 3 dc ch 2, 2dc in same space (2 dc ch 2, 2 dc in next ch 1 sp) repeat between () around, join.
Row 10: Sl st to ch 1 sp, ch 3 dc ch 2, 2 dc in same sp (skip 2 dc, dc ch 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc ch 2 two dc in next ch 2 sp) repeat between () around, join, fasten off, attach CC.
Row 11: Ch 1 sc in same sp, (ch 2 sc) in each st around. join. fasten off.

On top attach CC at right edge,
Row 1: Ch 1 sc across, ch 1 turn.
Row 2: Working in back loops, sc ch 1 sc in each sc across, fasten off.
Straps, make a chain length to fit, sl st or sc in chain, attach to top from front to back.

Small CP flowers
Materials:
Size 7 or 8 steel hook
Size 10 thread

With one strand of thread:
Row 1: ch 5, sl st for ring.
Row 2: ch 2, 15 hdc in ring. join with sl st.(16)
Row 3: ch 2, hdc in same st, 2hdc in each hdc around. join.(32)
Row 4: {ch 2, hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc} in same st, skip next hdc, sc in next hdc, *(skip next hdc, {2hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc} in next hdc, skip next hdc, sc in next hdc)* repeat from * around, join, fasten off.
Attach silver metallic thread.
Row 5: ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next hdc, sc ch 1 sc in ch 1 sp. repeat around.

With gold metallic thread make a ch long enough to attach to flower for CP logo. Attach to ribbon for banner, drape over doll. Make one for crown, fold in half, and put Cp logo on, tie on doll with ribbon.

    Row 3: Sc across. Ch 1. Turn.
    Row 4-7: Sc in 1st 3 st. Ch 1. Turn. Fasten off.
    Repeat rows 1-7 for opposite side. Sew front and back straps together.

    SLEEVES:
    Using size 30 crochet cotton and size 10 hook, join thread to bottom of armhole formed by sewing the front and back together.

    Rnd 1: Ch 1. Sc evenly around armhole. Join.
    Rnd 2: Ch 2. Turn. *Sc, ch 1, dc* (V st) in 2nd st. *Skip 1 st, V st in next st*. Repeat around. Should have 10 V sts. Join. Ch 2. Do NOT Turn.
    Rnd 3-10: V st in each ch 1 space around. Join to top of ch 2. Do not turn. Ch 1.
    Rnd 11: V st in same st as same 2 (counts as 1 inc V st). 1 V st in each ch 1 space around. Join. Ch 2.
    Rnd 12: V st in each ch 1 space around. Join. Ch 2.
    Rnd 13-16: Repeat rows 11 & 12 alternately.
    Rnd 17: *4 sc in 1st ch 1 space. Sl st in next ch 1 space*. Repeat around. Fasten off.
    Repeat for other sleeve.

    BODICE NECK TRIM:
    Using size 30 crochet thread and size 10 hook, join at back top corner so that you will be working with the right side facing you. Ch 1.

    Row 1. Work 4 dc in the first st. Sl st in next st. Continue around, easing around inside corners to lay flat. Finish off.

    SKIRT:
    This makes a very full, flowing skirt. To decrease the fullness, change row 1 as given inside [ ]. Using size 10 crochet cotton and size 7 hook, join thread to bottom corner of bodice. Ch 2.
    Row 1: V st in each chain of base chain of bodice [1 dc in each chain]. Ch 2. Turn.
    Row 2: Sc, dc, sc in each dc across. Ch 2. Turn.
    Row 3: V st in secod st. *Skip 1 st, V st*. Repeat across. Ch 2. Turn.
    Row 4: V st in each ch 1 space across. Ch 2. Turn.
    Rnd 5-20 Repeat row 4. Join ends of each row, starting with row 5, with a sl st in the top of the ch 2.
    Rnd 21. Ch 7. *3 dc between 1st and 2nd V st. Ch 4. *Repeat round to last space. 2 sc. Join to 3rd ch of ch 7. Fasten off. Sew snaps where needed on back of bodice.
